Privacy Policy
Scope of This Policy
This policy applies only to the public SuraWorks website hosted on Squarespace and to information you voluntarily send to SuraWorks through the contact email listed on this website.
SuraWorks applications and reference implementations, including SuraDV and SuraSpark, are technically separate from this website. They may use different hosting providers, safeguards, data flows, and review processes. Before any application becomes available beyond controlled review, it should provide its own application-specific privacy notice. This website policy does not replace those notices.
Information Processed by This Website
Squarespace and its service providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver, secure, and measure the website. Depending on the site settings and your browser, this may include IP address, device and browser information, cookies, page activity, and similar analytics or security data.
SuraWorks may receive information that you choose to provide by email, such as your name, email address, organization, and message. The current website should not be used to submit emergency information, survivor case details, legal or medical records, passwords, case numbers, addresses, or other highly sensitive personal information.
How Information Is Used
Information received directly by SuraWorks may be used to respond to inquiries, evaluate professional or research interest, maintain website security and functionality, and improve the clarity of the website. SuraWorks does not sell personal information it receives directly through this website.
Contact Email
When you contact SuraWorks by email, your message is processed by the relevant email provider and is subject to that provider’s practices. Email is not an emergency, crisis, legal, medical, or confidential case-management channel. Please do not send sensitive survivor or client information.
SuraDV
SuraDV is a governed proof application entering controlled, professionally supervised review. It is not currently available for unrestricted public use. Its review environment, safeguards, audit practices, and any information processed within it are separate from this Squarespace website. An application-specific privacy notice should govern any future external use.
SuraSpark
SuraSpark is a Build Week reference implementation and is not authorized for unsupervised youth use. It is technically separate from this website and from SuraDV. This website does not claim that SuraSpark has completed educational, privacy, technical, or youth-safety validation.
Third-Party Services
This website is hosted by Squarespace and may rely on service providers for hosting, security, analytics, domain services, or email. Those providers may process information under their own privacy terms. Links to external websites or applications are governed by the privacy practices of those destinations.
Data Minimization and Retention
SuraWorks aims to collect only information reasonably needed for the stated purpose. Information received directly may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the inquiry, security, recordkeeping, or applicable legal obligations, and then deleted or de-identified when appropriate.
Security
SuraWorks aims to use reasonable safeguards, but no website, email service, hosting provider, or AI system can guarantee complete security. Do not submit information through this website that could create harm if exposed.
Emergency and Professional Services
This website and related SuraWorks proof applications do not replace emergency, legal, medical, mental health, crisis, advocacy, or other professional services. If there is immediate danger, call 911 or use an appropriate local emergency or crisis resource.
Policy Updates
This policy may be updated as the website, service providers, and SuraWorks applications evolve. The date above will be revised when material changes are made.
